Wagga-based trucking company Ron Crouch Transport has been placed into voluntary administration, raising further concerns about the regional road freight sector.
Ron Crouch Transport provided transportation services between Australia’s major eastern cities with stations in Wagga, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Ron Crouch Transport will now seek a buyer while under administration.
The company’s executive director, Geoff Crouch, made the announcement via his LinkedIn page.
“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have had to take the necessary action of placing Ron Crouch Transport under the control of a voluntary administrator,” Mr Crouch said.
“For the purposes of clarity and to ensure facts are not misrepresented, I stress that this is a voluntary action.
“Whilst I love and have a passion for the Australian transport industry, as we all know, it is a tough one that takes no prisoners.
